4 Ways to Help You Discover and Reconnect with Yourself

Most of us don’t know who or what we are. We simply do what our ancestors have been doing, mostly following the crowd. Occasionally, we might hear a voice from inside, asking what we are doing. Is this what I’m meant to be? Do I just work, and die? These voices are usually shut down by our busy life or fear of facing reality. The problem is, we can’t truly find ourselves until we answer those questions. You have to step out of your routine, clear your mind, and connect to thoughts to discover yourself. Here are some of the most powerful practices to help you find yourself.

Music Gives Way to Natural Intelligence

Boundaries

We all are intelligent in some way. You don’t have to be a mathematician for that. Our mind is bounded by the society and culture we live in. We trap our thoughts within the circle defined by our surroundings. This didn’t happen suddenly. It took many years to build boundaries inside your mind that detached you from your own thoughts.

Ever noticed how kids can abruptly ask any question that we adults can’t even consider thinking?  That’s natural intelligence. Music is a great antidote to help let your prisoned natural intelligence step out of bars. It is respected in many cultures as a practice to reinvigorate your soul. Music is called food for the soul for a reason.

Dance to Feel Free

The world doesn’t see it that way but dance is a great meditation technique. You don’t need to learn dancing or become a hip hoper for this. Simply allow your body to move freely without worrying about what people will think. Dance is also a traditional form of Sufi meditation that is believed to help the dancer discover himself and his creator. They only twirl around one point with one hand pointing upward and other toward the ground. Try any kind of dance you feel comfortable, but be expressive.

Try Recreational Activities

There are many recreational activities that might look simple but do wonders spiritually. For example, walking is one great practice if you like it. The use of marijuana is also believed to help you focus. Moreover, we all know how gardening helps us relax. You can try cultivating super skunk marijuana seeds in your house if it’s legal in your state. It not only gives you a great gardening experience, but you will also get quality homegrown marijuana– both great to relax, focus, and reconnect to yourself.

Ask Quality Questions

The questions that you must not ask or even think about, it’s about time to let them out. When you lay down and relax, instead of wandering in fantasies, ask yourself quality questions and answer them. The questions you raise and the journey to their answer will help you discover many things on the way. It will change your entire perspective of how you look at the world.
