If You Experience These 6 Universal Signs You Are Definitely An Old Soul

The very fact that the concept of time is a parameter created by human beings is evident when some people grow old at 18 while others stay young even at the ripe old age of 90.

How old would you be if you didnt know how old you are? Satchel Paige

There is a special kind of person in our world who finds himself alone and isolated, almost since birth.

His solitary existence isn’t from a preference or an antisocial temperament – he is simply old. Old in heart, old in mind and old in soul, this person is an old soul who finds his outlook on life vastly different and more matured than those around him. As a result, the old soul lives his life internally, walking his own solitary path while the rest around him flock to follow another.

Old souls are those who have reincarnated many times and have lived many different lives. They are different than the younger souls who might’ve been born for the first time.

Old souls have their own habits, attitudes and lifestyles that reflect on their old hearts.

These are the common traits which can be found in the old soul.

1. Spending time alone

Old souls love to spend time alone. They lean towards introversion more than the young souls because they find inner strength and peace in solitude. As a result, they do not engage in activities like partying or clubbing which can make them seem boring to others.

2. People magnet

Old souls seem to attract people because of their wise and humorous nature. They are highly emphatic people with lots of positive energy. This positive energy could make them easy targets for energy vampires. Prolonged social interaction could make them feel emotionally drained. Old souls should avoid too much socializing in order to safeguard their energy.

3. Loners

They do not like to engage with too many people or groups of people. Old souls prefer to build meaningful relationships by one on one interaction. Their circle is a small closely knitted one. They might seem as loners to others but this is how they like things to be. It also prevents the draining of their emotional energy.

4. They are forgiving

Old souls tend to forgive people easily because they find no meaning in holding grudges. They are aware of the connectedness of the universe and all the souls within. They believe in love and forgiveness rather than vengeance and enmity. By practicing forgiveness they also set an example for the younger souls.

5. Nice, easy going people

All the above qualities have painted a picture of a nice, kind, easy going person. Old souls do not behave like stuck-up people… they believe in having a good time with their people. At times this could also serve as a disadvantage because people might trick them or take advantage of their politeness. They are not dominating; neither do they seek control over anyone. It is easy to get comfortable around an old soul.

6. Decision-making abilities

Old souls rely on their intuition when it comes to making decisions. They do not simply do what logic dictates. Their intuitive ability has grown sharp over the years and they employ it to their best use. They can sense if the road ahead is difficult as they continue on the journey of life.

There are many differences between an old soul and a young soul but all should be treated with kindness and respect. All souls are important in the larger scheme of the universe.
