Creating Your Soul Resolution for 2018

Creating Your Soul Resolution for 2018

As we enter into a new year it is only natural to think about the year gone by and to reflect on all the highs and lows. It is also a time where we start to think about what new goals or projects we want to take on for the year ahead.

As we shift into 2018 the Universe is going to be beckoning us to think about how we can create security and comfort in our lives while also manifesting and building our highest dreams and wishes.

While 2016-2017 focused heavily on the energy of death, rebirth and new beginnings, 2018 is really going to be a burst of fresh air that will allow us to really focus on getting grounded with where we have landed.

To welcome in this new energy, I always think it’s powerful to create a soul resolution. This is slightly different from a new year’s resolution as it is less about creating goals and more about setting an intention.

Soul resolutions go so much deeper than weight loss goals or learning to speak French, and into a more energetic space where they can manifest through your sacred intention and the will of the Divine.

When creating an intention, you don’t have to define what it’s going to look like or what you are even going to achieve. Instead, it’s like you are planting a seed of creation and seeing how it unfolds and how it shifts and changes your life on its own.

When you tune into the power of your heart and soul, work out what you need, and then create the intention to bring that energy into your life, it is amazing the type of shifts and changes that occur.

Resolutions for the soul are almost like little prayers that you send out into the Universe that are felt on the deepest of levels. They are heard by your Divine Spirit Team and then opportunities to put your intention into practice are trickled down to you throughout the year.

I have seen this manifest in my own life and in others year after year, and I really feel that soul resolutions are extremely powerful.

Here Is How To Craft Your Soul Resolution:

1. Choosing a Soul Resolution

We are always working on our soul lessons whether we intent it or not, but when you become aware of what your soul is working on you can begin crafting a goal to help you navigate through the journey.

When it comes to choosing a soul resolution, try to think about themes or patterns in your life and where you have felt most challenged or most uprooted. From here you can then work out which direction may be the most beneficial for the year ahead.

I also find it beneficial to ask your heart and soul what it needs too. Simply close your eyes, place your hand over your heart and then ask your soul what is needs. Ask your heart what it needs. Then stay open to whatever answers come flying in.

2. Crafting Your Soul Goal

Once you have identified your soul resolution write it out on a piece of paper. There are no rules about what you write. Here is my example to help inspire you:

My Soul Resolution for 2018:

“I must keep opening my heart and allow love to flow in and love to flow out. I must be aware of not allowing the pain of loss and grief to block the flow of love. Life is about love, and learning to love more in times of grief and pain. The answer is always more love. My soul resolution is to keep opening my heart, and allow myself to really feel and be love, for this is where I can continue to inspire and create not only for myself, but for others as well.”

Feel free to write a few soul resolutions if it feels right, however try not to do more than three. This allows you to keep your focus.

3. Sending Out Your Soul Resolution

Simply sit in a quiet place, maybe even light a candle or smudge your aura before you begin. Again, there are no rules with this.

Recite your soul resolution out loud three times with feeling, for all the heavens to hear. As you are saying your goal, try to really feel it and take it into your body and into your being.

After you have finished, fold up your soul resolution and leave it tucked away in your room or in a safe place.

It is not necessary for you to re-read your soul resolution however, it may be fun to look back on it at the end of the year.

Making a soul resolution has always been rewarding for me and I hope you can all experience the benefits that come along with it!
